TODAY IN MARGARET'S GARDEN.
Here's a suggestion for you...
Fernleaf Phacelia looks great together with Virginia Blue bells, Yellow Wood Poppy and Jacob's Ladder. All are woodland wildflowers native to Eastern USA.

DETOURS WHILE GARDENING....
Found this Southern Yellow Jacket Queen (Vespula squamosa) hiding in a half-buried peat pot in my garden. Queens are orange and very striking (no pun intended). You don't usually get to see a Queen! It was cold out so I could get very close without her moving much.

Everything good will be destroyed just to give fossil fuel companies a big win they don't deserve.

Nature cleanses the angst and rot that roils through the airwaves, replacing them with the determination of wildflowers to stay rooted and spread their seed.

I'm sure this will really help the townsfolk out there when the heavy rains come. (sarcasm, BTW)

These photos taken in the Wildflower Woods section where Wild Ones Louisville has worked hard to remove invasive species since 1999. Our labors have been rewarded well this spring!

Yes, it feels a good. Just a little. Because it shows all Trump voters care about is THEIR money. Not the Constitution. Not the loss of our societal safety net, not our air, land and waters, not the harm to others. If their finances improve, they'll go back to the Orange Conman in a heartbeat.

APRIL 5th Will Be a Day of National Protest. Rallies are being organized throughout the nation. We really need thousands to turn out and show Trump, DOGE and Project 2025 totalitarians that Americans resist their attempts to crush us into accepting their fascist rule.
