I’ll tell you where the real crime is on the corner of Dundurn and King. Five, maybe six, boarded up vacant houses which are still owned by the Shoppers Drug Mart mega corporation, sitting empty for over a decade. During a housing shortage. I can’t begin to scratch the surface of the anger of the community at the blight Shoppers has brought to this area.

Totally happy with a minority Liberal govt that needs NDP votes. It got Canadians pharm and dental care. And daycare.

Canada needs to rally around a strong vision of who Canadians are and how we want to face our future. And it’s not as an American vassal state, but as a sovereign nation, coast to coast to coast. A nation built on a foundation of compassion for our neighbours by supporting important social programs like daycare and pharma care. A nation where a major illness won’t leave you impoverished and in debt. A nation of provinces and territories each beautifully distinct in their own existence, yet Canadian in the whole. A nation with friendly ties to the international community, where we are respected for our contributions to the global economy.

A couple of days ago, someone pledged me $$ on my Substack account. First one.

For days previous, I had been wondering if it was worth pursuing it, then a message from the universe.

So, time to get serious & stop playing around.

My pledge to you is that I will never use AI (aside from spell check) when I write. It’s all me. If I bring in ideas or words not my own, I will credit them. I will ensure that the facts are true before I repeat them. I will not spread disinformation and misinformation and will respond with facts. I declare my bias is towards a compassionate humanity that meets people where they are, and is often in support of left policies. I believe in the lessons from the past, that climate change is real, and that children are our future.
