Retaining - as well as recruiting - talent is key to any organisation’s success, not high churn rates and uncompetitive pay. If the government wants to transform public services it must move away from a hand-to-mouth approach and deliver a new long-term strategy on pay.

I've really enjoyed being at #STUC25 in Dundee, hearing about issues that matter in Scotland and beyond, as well as the inspirational work of reps here.

It was an absolute delight to speak to the CPS members of @fdaunion.bsky.social, an afternoon of fascinating debate from dedicated reps.

This evening the FDA’s CPS Section’s Annual General Meeting set the section’s priorities and objectives for the year ahead on issues such as excessive workloads, pay, and supporting members with disabilities.

MiP delegate Julie Siddique outlines to @tuc.org.uk Women's Conference 2025 why it's so important action is taken to support women to access the training and skills they need to enter management and leadership roles, telling conference "when women lead, we all benefit".

A fascinating evening, commenting on 7000 responses to @FDA_union survey on UK civil service hybrid working, compared with private sector & Irish civil service. I was struck by the need for purposeful in-person working, and for tailored management skills & appropriate facilities
