Fun story: Back in '21 my man started feeding a feral cat. I found out when said cat crept in my kitchen on my birthday and proceeded to lecture me on the importance of getting up earlier to feed the cat. I was not wearing glasses and at first had no idea why my cat, Bubs, was yelling at me.

So we’re just … cool with people filming themselves for social media reels while driving? Like that’s not a problem? I’m the only one who hates it?
I feel like I’m going insane here. I don’t see how it’s cute or delightful.

I like how full text search of every book and human thought ever was a SOLVED PROBLEM in 2001, and now dicks at search engines and my own phone – a piece of silicon faster to respond than God was ever imagined in scripture – prevent it from working, _as a retroactive infantilizing design choice_.

Honestly, if you trust the machine that can't tell you how many Rs are in the word strawberry to help you file your taxes you deserve the audit, you deserve the penalties, you deserve the potential jail time.
TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Today was the first time I've seen the marines pull up to a target, in a red marine corps themed pick up truck, and start randomly recruiting dudes trying to shop. It was weird as hell.
(Cvs is inside target I don't give those assholes my money)

And they are not that expensive. Any work you do, especially if you write? Needs to be off the cloud. A website of any kind is not an appropriate storage option.
All this reminds me of is that I need to get hard drives. The cloud is cool until that mf erases all of your stuff that you can’t get back.

I think one of the major contributing factors to the young right wing is that they didn't grow up with WWII vets.

Its all cosplay and whataboutism to them. They didn't play with kids whose parents had camp tattoos, or learn from old men who still cried from PTSD. 1/?

My local friend group is shopping small and buying small by doing Crowsmas; in which we all buy each other a small assortment of thoughtful trinkets instead of large purchases that would break the bank. It's a way to still celebrate while making room for friends who are struggling/unemployed.

The good: I start my new W4 tomorrow.

The bad: My new gig pays *monthly* at the end of each month and I'm starting at the beginning of the period, so I wont get paid until New Years.

There's 12% or $8407 left to close out this ENTIRE campaign. I REALLY need a hand to hold onto the gig.
Oh Hai 👋🏿

If I can keep these gig contracts steady, the last 15% of this campaign (that I started in October 2022) will go to the bigger ticket items that I still need like neonate appropriate pulse oximeters, for ex., and my licensure exam fees.

This is what I came for.

Increasingly believe that the only ways to be able to work full-time as an artist are either benefitting from the safety of familial wealth, being part of a dual-income household, or acquiring the patronage of a Florentine banking and political dynasty that ascended to power in the 15th century

It's hard to express what it meant to watch Maurice, Natalia, Celeste, and Rhea tell their stories—in their own voices—this morning.

The segment revealed a brutal reality: homelessness at this scale isn't about personal failure. It's the result of policy choices and systems built to exploit people.

The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?
