I think the closest analogue to the Marjorie Taylor Greene/Tucker Carlson/Candace Owens movement is the Anti-Masonic party of the Jacksonian era: they may accidentally walk backwards into correct beliefs (Jackson/Trump is bad) but the underlying worldview is still absurd and dangerous

It's hard for us old regular artists to keep doing pages in the age of AI oversaturation.
Like working a job where you never get paid, like going to the gym but your body never changes, planting seeds you know will never grow.
You love it, but it used to be a path. Now it's a dead end.

10 years ago, I worked with this big guy (not fat, just like 6'8", big frame) who complained he never had money because he would eat at Subway twice a day, and then a sit-down restaurant for dinner, and OH GOD I hope he's either won the lottery or learned how to cook rice & beans since then. $$$$$

my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother
