They were fighting a reproductive rights election when the rest of America was having an economy election. I do wonder how fighting on the economy would have landed with voters given they are the incumbents.

If he's as normal as his uncle then Reform stand no chance.

Nothing wrong with that btw. I disagree, but I respect it. But my point about Partygate is still valid. Kemi Badenock (I hope we will agree she is dangerous) reignited it on the Laura Kuenssberg interview on day one, and she's done it again. Keir was wrong, but he knew that. It still comes up.

So Partygate doesn't matter anymore to voters, but obviously voters on the doors are still talking about it because the media hyped it, and somehow that invalidates my original point that Keir wasn't an idiot as now the Tories are bringing Partygate back to voters minds. Do you just hate Keir?

It came up on the doors during the general election as part of a whole list of things they were angry about.
December 4, 2024 at 7:19 PM
Not so much as the Tories are now arguing over it which brings Partygate back to the publics mind. Even Boris Johnson has got involved.

I'm in the UK where we don't really have pardons. Would you want the right to pardon removed or are there some occasions when you feel it should be used? I don't think politicians here could get away with it, with out media.

I suspect the undecideds will kill it. You'd need to be pretty sure to vote for something like that.

You have 40k here already which is pretty impressive! I'm sure big Twitter accounts like yours will be vital to getting good people to move. I feel the momentum is building.

Would this prevent the second reading debate or would it be debated as part of the second reading debate?
November 26, 2024 at 1:26 PM
Yep. And anyone who's door knocked for any party will tell you that people just don't follow it all like some of us do.

They are con artists like Farage is. They somehow convince ordinary working people that the problems of the wealthiest few are someone their problems. It boggles my mind how they get away with it.
November 20, 2024 at 2:45 PM
It's fascinating how they fight to the death to defend the wealthiest estates against inheritance tax and posh private schools against VAT, but they remain silent about teachers and nurses being forced into food banks. Where is the outrage about homelessness and poverty?

Was this a poll of a representative sample of Morning Joe viewers, scientifically weighted, or was it a self selecting sample of their followers? If the latter, it has no more value than a twitter poll.

I popped on there today and Sangita Myska is experiencing nasty racist hate. I come on here and Britian First has been flagged as racist by the moderation team and their posts are hidden. X is a hate app now. You can be as nasty as you like and it's called free speech, you just can't call it out.

I was being flippant but it is a good point and we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that there is victim here. And minors never consent. These people can't pass confirmation. I do believe in a better America than that and I hope the Senate do too.
