They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

Nixon -> Roger Stone -> [Brooks Brothers Riot, Jan 6].

Sure it's more complicated, but you don't need more to consider "all this" a single, cohesive conspiracy.
the true believers around nixon genuinely saw him as some kind of embodiment of the people and thought that congressional attempts to corral his authority were illegitimate on that basis. straight line from them to the executive power fetishists on the supreme court.
it is incredible that legalizing watergate has been the overriding ideological project of the american right for fifty years

Good morning! I’m currently at Beaverton High School in OR where a mass student walk out has just started to demand a proactive ICE protocol for their school and district.

Students say that similar walkouts were planned at multiple other high schools, including Aloha, Sunset, Southridge & more.

A specific, bounded, actionable request, backed by community support.

These students are already more organized than the vast majority of US protests in the past 25 years. They are doing politics, not just complaining, not just walking around in a circle.
From a student: “we would be able to do a lot more if more schools would just contact the response teams. We have been urging BSD to act on this through protests, countless emails, voicing our concerns at board meetings- they straight up ignored a letter with over 500 community signatures…

Maybe electrifying and doubling frequency on regional rail lines is good
The top 5 fastest growing U.S. transit agencies (3 million to 15 million annual trips) over the last year are:
1. @caltrain.com, CA ⬆️ 56%
2. GoRaleigh, NC ⬆️ 42%
3. Blacksburg Transit, VA ⬆️ 26%
4. Airtrain JFK, NY ⬆️ 23%
5. Golden Empire Transit, CA ⬆️ 20%

I'm certainly not going to defend Waymo or AI or tech, but clearly the problem is fucking roads and cars.

That Waymo et. al. warehouses many trips doesn't make them more deadly per-trip

Loudly misunderstanding this will fail, since the company will just report better per-trip stats eventually.

I am just here to say that in order to commit WAR CRIMES, a WAR has to exist.
THERE IS NO WAR.
Therefore, the proper term for killing random people on boats is MURDER.

One shitty Right Wing article generates 100 responses.

1 hour from the dumbest right-winger occupies 100 hours of opposition.

The Right Wing is winning by occupying all the space which ought to otherwise be used for organization and action.

And they are doing it with minimal effort.
