I don’t know whether this helps with sexing. Chips at front, Gravy behind. I know I say it every day but this might be my most amazing interaction yet 😆 !! I sat down with them & they stayed for 20 mins. I am besotted! #ukbirding

The Jackdaws coming into roost over the mere as the sun sets now. I am trying to concentrate every day on what I am thankful for and I am so very thankful to be lucky enough to live here!

So it turns out (reading “Mind of a Raven”) that I am wrong in thinking that Chips ( the most vocal and friendly) is a male. This knocking sound apparently is unique to females. So Chips is a girl! Now I know I will try to do more detailed observations, esp at breeding time #ukbirding

So so excited. I hear the Tawny Owls every morning but today got great views of it calling. A Magpie took a dislike to it! There can be nothing as uplifting and exciting as nature #ukbirding
