Sometimes I think the right hates the left so much because many are out here showing kindness as much as we can and looking after people without being threatened with eternal hellfire.

The Republicans control the Senate despite representing fewer Americans than Democrats. They control the House thanks solely to extreme gerrymanders. They will confirm anyone who Trump puts forward. If a political party could be a participation trophy, it would be today’s GOP.

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
