🕰 Finish your pour! Slowly pour the remainder of the water evenly over the coffee. Once it's poured, the remainder of the brewing process should take about 2-3 minutes, allowing the water to extract the coffee and drain into your cup.

💡 Try doing just enough to wet the coffee (40g) and then wait 30 seconds for the coffee to "bloom," begin the brewing process, and release the flavors.

🌼 Allow your coffee grinds to bloom! When adding your grinds, make sure to give them a little shake to level the grounds and even the distribution. Start your pour from the center and work your way out to the sides.

📏 A good scale is the easiest way to get a good measure, but eyeballing it works too!

If you prefer a stronger coffee, try a 14:1 ratio 💪

⚖️ Use a ratio that compliments your coffee tastes! We recommend a 16:1 ratio, which indicates 16 parts water to every one part coffee. This can look like 8 oz (235g) of water per 3 tbsp (15g) of coffee.

💧Rinse your coffee filter! Once your water is at temperature (205° F), run a bit over your filter to help warm your brewing vessel and prime your paper filter. We love the Origami filters, ceramic drippers, and holders (as pictured in this video.) Find them all under 'Merch' on our website!

☕️ Use a medium grind coffee! Medium grind is perfect for pourovers and drip coffee, while fine grind is better for espresso, and coarse grind is better for cold brew and french press.
