I actually feel for her. She’s just an opinion writer whom I happen to sometimes like. Being this site’s scapegoat for the NYT’s editorial sins makes me laugh in a way since that’s…not what she does or is involved with.

It’s a neurotic argument precisely because of the medium on which it’s taken place, where one poorly argued post can spread taken out of context, but then the original poster is in such close democratic contact with her critics, some of whom should actually be gatekept from her.
