It’s hard to stop the gears from turning even when you’re away from work. 🥲

I’m so glad you decided to publish this ❤️‍🔥 There are so many parallel’s to other marginalized groups and how I’ve felt about some of the performative nature.

In my experience these initiatives are great for establishing community and opening doors but maybe not the systemic impact that’s needed.

I agree it feels silly, but I mean, when you look at the (mostly short-term) incentives, is it really that unbelievable?

The parallels to fast fashion is spot on. Loved the POV beyond the tech bubble it brings from other industries.

Sometimes we forget how young tech is relative to other industries and the lessons that can be learned from others.

I'm willing to bet there will be, but I would love to be proven wrong.

I would agree with all of the above, but I think it varies depending on the size/maturity of the org too.

Research is also more than UXR alone imo.

But if a company has any of these 3 things, I find it unlikely they do discovery in the first place, more so “validation” at the end.

A good reminder that disability comes for all of us eventually. I also prefer reading ebooks for more adaptable viewing options.
