There are some good providers - it’s not straightforward but NHS services are chronically underfunded whilst there seems an unlimited pot for Right to Choose providers where as @himal.bsky.social points out there are no standards - we need investment & we need ongoing care not diagnose & discharge

Exactly - we need to think more about neurodiverse safe spaces for everyone at any age - they want cause harm to anyone but can make such a huge difference

I work in a nhs diagnostic service - already underfunded & overwhelmed but now seeing the backlash of those who have pursued other pathways & had poor experiences coming back some with & some without diagnoses but no evidence of how the decision was made - especially ADHD when meds are involved

Sensory needs of the individual child are vital to consider - think about how the room is set up from a sensory perspective & make changes to this as a first step
