We need more registered nurses, but financial pressures are pushing too many students away from nursing.

Sign our petition calling on governments across the UK to review and improve financial support for nursing students.

The UK govt has announced a 3.6% pay award for nursing staff on Agenda for Change in England - an increase that will be swallowed up by inflation.

Our consultation will open soon for you to tell us what you think.

Only you and your colleagues can decide if it's enough to value nursing.

The ADHD/autism private provider space has exploded in recent years with some publicly funded via the Right to Choose framework. Which can lead to profit chasing and rushed outcomes.

How are standards maintained in this space? Seems ripe for abuse, hurting patients and straining NHS services.
I work in a nhs diagnostic service - already underfunded & overwhelmed but now seeing the backlash of those who have pursued other pathways & had poor experiences coming back some with & some without diagnoses but no evidence of how the decision was made - especially ADHD when meds are involved

A really interesting read by @himal.bsky.social the journey to assessment with long waits is not acceptable but for me neither is filling the gap with remote services who can’t deal with “the complex” humans are complex by nature and face to face assessments should be available for all

I had an autism assessment a few months ago. It had been a long time coming.

Taken me a while to put it all into writing. Being different, masking, the assessment itself and the outcome. Oh and why it was all really about the friends I made along the way.
