As I keep saying about folks trying to defend supporting JK Rowling through Harry Potter: "Fucking Skill Issue."
So many of us in the anime and manga fandom dropped Rurouni Kenshin like it was hot garbage when it came out that the creator was a pedophile, and that was 100% formative for many of us.

In thinking about the Glinda/Elphaba/Fiyero I had a thought that has permanently changed how I perceive the Fiyero (who I am generally pretty "meh" about.)
Narratively, Fiyero represents Glinda's heart's desire and conscience. He does, and says, everything she WANTS but feels she cannot do.

I’m begging novel writers to hire an artist for their covers. At least someone who can do graphic design at a minimum. I see the worst book covers on here everyday and you’re all doing such a disservice to yourself to put in the effort to write a whole book only to turn people away with a bad cover.
