I know we elect these judges… I wish the road toward accountability was easier. The power trip some of them have… and how it shows up as horrid racism and classism when their power is questioned or confronted.

And I find it really gross to see that preservation of the status quo is more important to Judge Evashavik than justice in the room. Impossible not to notice who she’ll threaten to send from the room, and who she’ll defend.

I’ve been to a lot of funerals and I’ve never witnessed the level of community and care that I’ve witnessed at an Islamic funeral.

JOB Update:
The jail oversight board voted to continue the commissary support with a reduction to $100. The funds will now also be dispersed on the first and the 15th instead of only once on the first of the month. The board will have to vote to continue the fund starting in February of next year.
