I grew up in the Caribbean, went to college in NY and have a BS, I worked as a deck officer and circumnavigated the world. Raised 2 kids and worked in school libraries. Now I am widowed and retired in Napa Valley. Favorite person is my Miss Kitty.
Look in the dictionary under the word, "cozy" and you will find this kitty.

My son and I worked on this together. It took two food processors!

I'd like to introduce my brother's cats. Cutty is a medium length tortie with sultry yellow eyes. Minxy is actually my niece's cat. She's a Persian from Saudie who lost an eye to a terrible infection. She was recently shaved so the house doesn't get buried in black hair.

If I didn't have Miss Kitty to help through these horrible days I would never smile or have love in my heart

Not too much traffic
Wind swept beach
Freshly paved roads
Happy California cows
Wild flowers
Stopped in cheese store featuring local cow and sheep cheeses
Great day!

I’m making a memory book for my father and I came across this picture taken by his father in 1938. I looked up 1938 on the NOAA website (still not taken down) and found out it was called “The Great New England Hurricane of 1938.

My daughter was in 4H and to give her the experience of raising livestock we started raising chickens. After she graduated I continued with the girls. This was my last flock in Feb 2023. New Hampshire reds (brown eggs) and Americaunas (green).

This is the Napa River in the middle of town. Ebbing at present. A number of years ago, the Army Corps of Engineers, Sierra Club, and city council joined together and made terrific plan, so there has been no more flooding.

This is a non-fruiting pear tree very common in these here parts. It actually has just been given a big trim. It has a very wonky growing style.
