Hi bluesky! I'm Missa. I have a lot of mixed interests from crochet to dream interpretations. I live in the Pacific Northwest on a cattle ranch in the middle of nowhere. I have 2 amazing little girls with my husband of almost 3 years. I'm an aspiring author and kids' counselor.
I wish I hadn't been raised in religion. I wish I could've explored my body and style in a way that wasn't steeped in shame and r@pe culture. Having the freedom to explore now is overwhelming, and I constantly default back to jeans-and-tshirt because it's comfortable and familiar.

As a fan of Stephen King, seeing a comedy show called Derry Girls really threw me for a loop. Pretty good show, just not at all what I expected. #derrymaine #derryireland @stephenking.bsky.social @netflix.com

I hope everyone grows tired of being cruel to each other soon.

We need playing pretend now more than ever.

I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure my previous life was in an asylum for the criminally insane. Mostly because I would 1000% be in one now if they still existed.

This zucchini also came from that harvest. All of the jokes have already been made.

Just my husband being VERY proud of his veggie garden haul. This is actually a pretty small harvest - he was just particularly excited for the cauliflower.

This is going to sound so mean, and I know it, but I have to get it off my chest.
I have this strong sense of pride and amusement because I was able to have babies, and my sister has not. Like, I have the tiniest shred of sympathy that she's supposedly miscarried 3 times... (1/3)

I don't know which corners of the internet my mother is lurking in, but I'm pretty sure this space is safe for me to grow in my own motherhood without her stalking.

Reading is political, and it always has been. Here are some of the classic books on the banned list that you should definitely check out.

This president knows nothing of God or Christlike actions. Jesus would shun this fool.

I have acquired a void. Meet Purrsephone, or, "Sephy", as my toddler calls her.

Physically go to your local library at least once. Seriously.

Look around. Find a random book with a cover that catches your attention. Read the description. Read the first page. If you like the sounds of it, borrow it and take it home to read. Borrow a handful of books even.

Liberals AND conservatives also cried about how violent MLK was in the 60s. This comic is from 1967.

Listen, you NEED to borrow that book from the library. I know you've got like 10 other books lined up to be read, but you need to go to the library. Remind the library that it's loved and cherished.

I will forever strive to be a beautiful as the Welsh Harlequin duck. (Look, Auto, I did mean "duck" this time!)

All 3 of us girls in the house (6 mo, 3, and 34) just had a blissful 2-hour nap, and I feel like that deserves to be celebrated.

Jan 20, 1961. A blizzard the day before. Temperatures well below freezing. Without a coat or hat, JFK gave a speech we still quote today. Robert Frost, 86, recited a poem. Steinbeck and Hemingway and Rothko were among the VIPs. A million people gathered in the cold to hear it.
This is the precedent.

Man. Some things never change, I guess. "Too bad about your country, but we don't want you. 🤷‍♀️"

I'm so fucking pissed. My boss and my colleague told me to stay home today because of the weather. My husband, who works at the school, told me to stay home today because of the weather. (1/2)
