Great paper. The predictive description makes so much sense. The suggestion that there's different levels to which sensory feedback can adjust predictions of those senses is fascinating. It certainly does a great job of explaining the phenomenology of affective states.

As someone who is perfectly comfortable with the idea that the brain is the seat of consciousness, I find statements like this very strange: "If 'my brain made me do it' , in what sense am I in control of myself?".
