You have identified an area that definitely needs more research - both in terms of impact on long-term behaviour changes (including if you stop taking the drugs), and changes to users' acceptability of different policy interventions. Anecdotally, seems to go both ways for latter.

One unintended consequence could be it skews political/policy sector attitude to weight management, diet & obesity: (1) "the drugs work, so that's all policy interventions need to focus on" (2) "I don't see people living with obesity anymore, so not a problem" - both not reflecting society at large

🏛️ And critically, they wanted government to back them up in tackling the wider forces - social media and technology, unhealthy food environments and work pressures - that no family could tackle alone.

Just make a big thing of it! Throw in 'should we have a fit & proper to own social media test' for the hell of it! If you're being cynical this is is how to make "Reform are a security risk" stick in people's minds, if being noble this is all part of European resilience to Russian/Chinese threat
