And why are sites ok if they distribute affiliate content throughout their site but penalised if they put it in a section? Where’s the logic in that?

Also the new guidelines don’t say affiliate links are bad. They still talk about third party content. How is in-house content monetised by affiliate links third-party? Why are display ads on this content (which Google makes money on) ok but affiliate links (with no rev share for Google) forbidden?
