Writer and bookworm. I love horror movies, thunderstorms, and good vibes. Also, cats. Cats are good.
If you see this, post a book you've read more than once. 💙📚

Terrific author’s note from C K McDonnell. Automating a process is stupid if the process is the point.

Also, if a book lasts into further reprints, is read maybe, hopefully, into the future, these notes will be valuable, lived history.

I just got a set of magnetic bookmarks, and I'm obsessed with them. I may never go back. I wonder which square they fall into. I'm not even on the board. 😆
Readers, what type of bookmark do you use?

I was in the school library every day checking out another one of these books. This filled me with nostalgia so I checked, and I DO still have my copy of The Hitchhiker! That's my vote. 💙📚

To not worry about what I 'should' be writing and write stories that spark joy!
what are your creative resolutions for 2024?

Signed up for #GYWO again! I switched to a habit pledge. I think it will better suit the way I've been writing the past few months. I'm a Backpacker now! Need to write for 120 days in 2024. I've written 117 days so far this year, so I think it's a reasonable goal.

Holiday book haul this year. I think my niece trolling me with the Golden Girls board book wins Christmas. 🤣

I was surprised by all the Tommee Profitt in my #YouTubeRecap but after ten seconds of reflection... no, that tracks. Also, "a tribute to drama, sadness, amped up tempos and NF" would be a fun bio. lol

I’m usually a pantser, but I have a time travel idea that made me spend yesterday afternoon writing a 1K+ outline trying to figure out if I *could* write this without my brain going into a blender trying to work my way through it. And I think I can? Maybe? Lack of plot holes not guaranteed, however.

Stop editing as you go. I started finishing more projects when I stopped going back to fix things before finishing the draft. Won't work for everyone, but momentum is everything for me.
