The International Criminal Court is ditching Microsoft Office, saying it’s too dependent on US tech, in favor of Open Desk, a German open source alternative.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.

🤯Despite promising to back the ENVI Cttee deal on the EU 2040 climate target, parts of the EPP are now trying to weaken it, pushing to cut the goal to 83% net, further delay ETS2, and undo key improvements!

🚫 The EPP should stop these dirty games, and keep its word to stand by EU climate action!

It’s likely going to be March 2027 before 30kph is rolled out across Urban Areas within Dublin City Council

Minister Canney could implement it at the stroke of a pen if he wanted by setting the default speed limit from 50kph to 30kph

The Minister has decided that councils should not be allowed set a default 30km/h limit (so much for local democracy) and instead have to create exceptions to a 50km/h limit. This means 1000s of hours of detailed work for council officials instead of a single line item. It will take 18 months to do.

The Govt flies to COP30 preaching climate leadership, but the glaring truth is this:

There is no tangible domestic climate action.
No credible pathway for emissions cuts.
No health-centered climate planning.
No transition for transport, agriculture, or energy at the scale science demands.
