Feeling pretty much the same. I moved a small project or two to .af when it dropped, and aside from a growing pain crash here and there, it seems pretty worth it. I also worry about lockin and enshittification, but for now, I'm happy with what it is, and what it promises to become. (Scripting!)

Yeah. The last place I taught at fired basically all of their TAs and replaced them with a janky bot, then continued the process by slashing their instructors a few times. It's super sad.

so for me, the juice and sauce of RPGs is when we totally embrace these diegetic world-rules as the rules of the game itself. where "How do we slay this dragon?" is exactly as difficult as it would be to ~actually~ slay the dragon, not just reduce it to 0HP. it's like de-metaphorizing play, sorta
