Yet another supposed supporter of disabled ppl, not getting that border justice is key for us. 🫠 I just want somewhere safe to write this book.
I’m not as shocked, bc we know how violent US borders have always been for racialised ppl—inc my own past experiences, from the time I was 16 and forced to remove my hijab at JFK—and am more shocked by the callousness of an arts organisation purporting to support disabled ppl.

Just heard that a Mexican employee at UC Berkeley was given an escort on campus until finally it was deemed safer for them to work remotely. This at least is taking responsibility for the lives of the ppl you work with.
