As it turns out knowing that is bullshit is one thing, and believing it and doing something with that knowledge and belief is another.

I’m still working through this and I’ve been at it for a while. It does get easier.

I get it. Or I think I do anyway. They are your “family” and we are “supposed” to be around those people and love them. The elders amongst them are “supposed” to get our respect and deference no matter what.

I just heard something hit the house and they are *throwing* things at the window. I'm already miffed that I need to wear earplugs in my house, but can I please not have children willfully trying to break my house?

Pretttty sure I swallowed it eating a veggie burger at Maw-maw’s house. Not gonna lie, absolutely made myself puke in the hopes of retrieving it. If you do get one, just check that the ball stays screwed tight.

It’s been a long time since I had mine, so keep that in mind. It didn’t hurt much as it was pierced, but it did swell for a day or 3. I recall soaking bread in broth and dropping it down my throat like a baby bird. And talking funny for a bit. After that though? Loved it. Broke my ❤️when I lost it.

And the University of Virginia faculty senate passes a resolution opposing the “Compact” sent to our interim president by the Department of Education. Lots of students in the room with signs opposing the compact (like “protect free speech”). 60 in favor; 2 opposed.
