Sharing my first solo author paper, now online (OA) in Assessment! 🥳 In the paper I present a more flexible way to calculate clinical change thresholds, esp. useful for weekly symptom data and finding sudden transitions. The Duration-Adjusted Reliable Change Index (DARCI) doi.org/10.1177/1073...
Three stacked plots of the same individual's depressive symptom time series in which reliable symptom changes – as identified with the Duration-Adjusted Reliable Change Index – over 1 to 4 weeks are marked. The topmost plot shows several partially overlapping periods (1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks) of reliable decreases in symptoms at 90% confidence level, the second plot down shows fewer of those periods (only 1 and 2 weeks) as remaining reliable at 95% and in the bottom plot, only one reliable symptom shifts (over 1 week) remains at 99% confidence level.
