a person dedicated to hatred is a person deeply starved of love, a person who does not believe that love exists and has trapped themselves in hell by acting in such a way as to make themselves as unlovable as possible

this fills me with a mix of sadness and anger; can’t people see that this is the history of hurt and war? that this logic is poison, poisons the wounded and the wounder alike??

at the center, each ______ I meet is a hiker, traveling in the terrain of their self. in everyone’s face I see the glimpses of a sincere and depthful practice that can mostly never be shared, will never be seen. these hikers I respect, their path their own.

I’m just here to say: talking to others who have been on the path for decades more than you have is incredible. they don’t have the answers, only you do (or having the answers isn’t helpful) but they hold the familiarity of moving through a question. so much wisdom in age.
