On the IPE side, I think we are more robust but also IPE and CPE have become more and more overlapping as more of the world globalized.

You might say, where will these people go? That is a tough question. In a just world, maybe Britain (Sykes) and France (Picot) should take them in as reparations for what they did. But more likely, maybe we could bribe Turkey or Tunisia to take them.

You might say, well since these people hate Hamas, shouldn't we have them stay and fight against Hamas. Well, that would be great in theory but Hamas has all the weapons and the power, so these folks are basically hostages.

You might be worried that the evacuees are Hamas supporters. Well, they probably aren't. I've interviewed people from all sorts of forced displacement contexts and they almost always hate the govt that made them leave. Even if they previously supported the regime, the crisis changes that.
