If only she had legalized her status over 25 yrs and not re-entered the US through Mexico while she had an active deportation order. She said SHE is American and loves the US. Her family loved what Trump was doing with deportations. Canada should not waste taxpayer funds on doing more than required.

I get the opposite. Every second post are people who will never vote Liberal again. They think Carney is planning on expanding our use of fossil fuels and secretly working for Harper and Trump.

I would suggest you stop changing the goalposts. You said defund healthcare- which Carney did not say and the provinces have the power and tax base to control. If you are suggesting we have no obligations to NATO because we did not elect them then our discussion is over.

Where do you see Carney saying he will defund healthcare?(The Libs just expanded dental care and pharmacare) That is the misinformation. The provinces(78%of the funding)are the ones shortchanging their residents. As for defense funding, that is a NATO requirement.If Europe can do both so can Canada.

Healthcare is a provincial responsibility and from what I understand transfer payments to the provinces won't change. You are promoting misinformation.

It is a throne speech- it is not legislation. NDP's job is to work within govt in the near future as mandated by the electorate. If there is bad legislation then vote against it. This is not legislation

Literally, voting against a govt as you advocate leads to another election where the NDP issues will be completely ignored because they have no chance of winning. Better to be at the table than be ignored

Idk. Bring down the govt, call another election, Libs get a minority, and NDP call yet another election OR bring down the current govt and Libs get a majority and NDP have no say OR cons govern in any capacity. NDP have no chance of a minority govt. We just may lose pharmacare and dental care.

Before you call anyone shallow consider the only outcomes that the NDP would accept are a Poilievre minority/majority or a Carney majority. That sounds very self destructing

US has poor access to healthcare by a sign. portion of the population. Senators like Joni Ernst telling her constituents not to get uptight about Medicare cuts because we are all going to die. CEOs telling nursing homes not to send patients to hospital to keep their costs down. Dismal ethics.

MikeDee I notice you like to post about Canadian and UK healthcare shortcomings but I am waiting for your US stats...because the US has dismal maternal mortality rates >2x higher, never mind a lower life expectancy than either country.
