I celebrated the survival of the world's oldest living #culture with these folks from across the eastern Downs, Meanjin-Brisbane and Germany. We shared stories, #bushfoods morning tea and ideas as to how we can be more effective allies to #indigenous people.

Very pleased to have successfully blocked up the hole this goanna (Varanus sp) was using to get into the wall cavity. This one is about 1.3m long but they can get much bigger.

The carpet snake hanging around the house caught up with one of the resident possums yesterday. Her baby escaped unharmed and I hope it's mature enough to survive alone.
The snake is sleeping off its big meal under a table of pot plants.
