Strange Sconnie is an alternate history of Wisconsin project of mine; everything posted here with the #StrangeSconnie tag is wholly made up by myself and will often feature the supernatural, horror, or even science fiction. There are a number of towns where these events take place.
The Uncanny Valley subdivision in Port du Impair, WI was established in 1956, when the owners of Karbon Corporation Industrial Mimeography Serivces decided that their employees would be better served to live apart from the rest of the town, so they built a planned community.

The evolution of a fictional subdivision in a fictional town in a setting 40+ years in the past. I have a tendency to create intricate backstories for my fictional works.

Happy Sea Otter Awareness Week! 🦦
Sea otters’ paws are incredible tools, thanks in part to their semi-retractable claws and Libby’s got paws made for action! 🐾 Full of energy and curiosity, she loves showing off during training sessions.

This is a thing I’m developing for my Fallout 2d20 campaign that I’m running for my kids. Marjorine is a margarine-substitute made with beef tallow and vegetable oils that I had made up (it was inspired by the Joe Cocker song “Marjorine.”

#StrangeSconnie near Garvey, WI in central Wisconsin is Clyburn Marsh; which was once centered on Clyburn Hall, the home of wealthy farmer Wallace Clyburn, whose entire family was murdered in their sleep by farmhand Lofty Todd in 1827. It’s said that Lofty Todd still haunts the marsh…

The main towns focused on in #StrangeSconnie are:
Garvey - A farming town settled by German immigrants in the 1800s.
Masticot - Founded in the early 1800s, it had a robust ship building industry.
