I’ve always held that it’s about a model of society we want to establish & maintain. The ableist notion of ‘accommodations have gone too far’ is not even a stone’s throw away from ‘there’s too much diversity’ or that ‘women are the weaker’ whatevs. Disability justice is tied to all forms of justice.
We need to be able to see that the line "accommodations have gone too far" is an expression of the ableist notion that disabled students do not belong in higher ed. Its fundamentally an anxiety about the fact that disabled students get an "advantage" over abled students.

Special education isn't a "nice thing to have." It isn't "charity" or doing something to make us feel better. It is a right. The right to a Free Appropriate Public Education is codified in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, signed by a Republican president.

So you’re saying that a corrupt former president who abused the powers of his office can face charges and be held accountable in court?

Recognition of Palestine by US allies is a necessary and historic affirmation of Palestinian rights.

It must urgently be accompanied by concrete steps to stop Israel’s campaigns of forced displacement, starvation and slaughter in Gaza and annexation in the West Bank.

I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer.

The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial.

Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.

This also counts as political violence.
After her hearing at 26 Federal Plaza, a woman was detained and escorted toward the stairwell. Her husband, confused and in shock, was guided toward the exit. Minutes later, he broke down in the elevator. They entered together, but he left alone. This happens here daily. #ICE

I suspect you are absolutely correct. Moderation at scale is complicated and pricey.
nways the reason bsky is flagging so much bigheadstuff is is they built a bunch of v crude regex tools

the bans are bc they're utterly terrified of what even a modest amount of legal pressure would do. they have no money. lawyers eat money

t&s also eats money which is why they barely have a team

Mainstream pundits have instantly sanitized and ignored Charlie Kirk's core political project and its impacts. He has been remembered by the mainstream press as someone they merely disagreed with, a debate me-guy whose words and actions had zero consequences:
