I got through this knit so fast I didn't have time for progress pics:

Westside Woolie hat by Gudrun Johnston + the World's Simplest Mittens by tincanknits (with tweaks to accommodate the colorwork charts from the hat). Yarn is Cascade Pure Alpaca in Mahogany, Fall Foliage, and Monterey Bay.
A knitted hat and mittens. The hat has ear flaps and a color pattern of alternating tringles framing a meander/Greek key stripe. The mittens feature the same triangle pattern and are connected by a long knit cord.

Since I'm still recovering from Bell's palsy I decided to have a little fun with it for Halloween. Most of the costume pieces are from Goodwill and can be reused as work clothes. (Not the blazers though, I actually cut those in half.) Not pictured: green nails on my other hand, mismatched stockings.

The threader usually looks like this (top objects). There are other kinds but these are cheap so they get thrown in everything. You can also find them amongst sewing sewing supplies if you want to buy your own, but fair warning, they break easily.

My favorite thing about old Muppets bts photos is seeing the beloved characters of my childhood in the midst of some silly jape, being held up by Henson and Oz, who are staring at a camera feed with the grim intensity of a hostage negotiator.

Got two raised beds up and running over the weekend, with a little help from the toddler, who modified my square foot strings and offered sand to the tomatoes. I haven't tried to grow veggies back here before, so let's see what survives!

Various vegetables and their little plastic markers are planted in each grid square. A blue plastic kiddie pool has bee propped up between the beds and the fence, and a couple square tiles have been placed in front of each bed for kneeling on.

Been a while on this, but the good news I've finished the shoulders and joined to continue in the round. Bad news is that I think I should have gone up a size.

Separate progress thread for separate project: a cabled sweater vest in tweedy fingering yarn. This will likely take some time.
