Most people can’t quite grasp how it feels to read this, but imagine if the federal government commanded every agency to form task forces charged with finding new ways to humiliate you. Then imagine every institution in your life not only folds but starts participating.

The National Park Service has removed "T" and all mention of transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument.

Trans women were some of the most influential activists behind the Stonewall movement and what followed.

3 articles of clothing laws were why raids happened.

Erasure.

Removing the TQ+ from the Stonewall Monument’s website really speaks volumes to the fragility of the American narrative facade this administration is trying to project.

Yes it’s capricious erasure, but it’s also almost comical how real history challenges their narrow image of our nation.

Just a note on history: Too often, bigots will turn to history to prove or disprove a point they’re trying to make about the validity of trans people alive today. Trans people alive today deserve respect, not because of something done 50 years ago but because they’re --alive today–-. (Continued)

Ope.
Weird how not a single one of the newspapers and magazines that have been breathlessly churning out "cancel culture" thinkpieces for the past four years have managed to use the word "censorship" at all to describe the most rapid and comprehensive campaign of mass-censorship in recent US history.

Dear every ally, both celebrity and random.

Hormones cause puberty. Republicans are trying to convince everyone that *teenagers* are too young for *puberty*.

Please bake this into the way you talk about trans youth.

This past week the hospital abruptly stopped providing gender affirming healthcare for youth under 19 years old, to preemptively comply with the Musk/Trump Administration's illegal Executive Order.

For those unaware, in 1933, the first major Nazi book burning was of the first 30 years of research into trans and queer people, far before the concentration camps.

Now, Trump has digitally burned the government's research on the same.

THREAD: President Trump’s order threatening schools that support their LGBTQ+ students is another appalling attack on the rights of our LGBTQ+ community. Every child deserves a school that sees them as whole, vibrant human beings. It’s downright un-American to offer anything less.

To all my trans siblings. It's been a rough couple of days. But we will get through this. We are standing on the shoulders of giants. Those who came before us have shown away. We have always survived, and we will continue to do so. Stay strong my friends!

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

This week has been so difficult. There is so much work that will be needed in order to deal with this administration. But it's going to be important to find time to unplug, feel the sun on our face, and find our center in order to stay focused and keep the fight going
I did just that yesterday.

If we don't draw the line here, fight for our trans sisters and brothers, make no mistake, they are going to come for the rest of the LGBT community next. Soon they won't be acknowledging the LGB side of it, saying we are mentally ill. Civil rights must be fought for, lest we all lose them.
