Everything will be OK in the end. And if it's not OK, then it's not the end.
Be kind.

/4 In my view, a movement that so transparently rejects the deal — so obviously adopts the policy “the only valid result is I win” — is not entitled to the protections of the votes-instead-of-sticks approach.

They should get the sticks.

like they see the christian god as a wealth deity who showers mortals with material pleasures if they please him and that is so funny in light of the traditions it grew out of.

Yeah, that's the way in which misogyny hurts men most - it teaches them there's only one way to be a man, and everything else diminishes them, when in reality, it frees them.

Fingers crossed. Society can be a cesspool...

Good for you. My son is 13 now, so hopefully I can manage the same!

..where men learn they are defined by their humanity first, and sex (if important) flows from that, misogyny doesn't naturally result. But you're right - when it does, it's a self-perpetuating cycle that allows amoral grifters to take advantage and teach young men to hate women, but also themselves.

Kind of. I think the fact that not every man thinks like that (I know - #notallmen etc...) shows that it isn't quite as linear and simple. It stems from an exploitation of that sex drive, a manosphere that convinces young men that they are defined by it and without it they are nothing. But...

Maybe. I still think what the men are looking for is simpler - it's the sex. It's like gambling ads pretending to sell camaraderie and fun, but they're really selling easy money. Tate is saying be powerful like me (and then you can f**k anyone). Either way, it's all exploitative bullsh!t.

Excellent piece. The only slight difference of opinion I'd have is I think the Manosphere isn't selling "money", but "sex". Using the same toolset, but pretending to tell young men how to get maximum sex for minimum effort. The money is their hustle, but easy access to sex is what they're selling.
