Also, this is why ethnic studies is soooooo crucial. We have more in common than we have differences. Go back to my initial post about rich white elites using division as their ultimate power.

themselves don’t know their own history. We’ve been constantly told we would be accepted as long as we Americanized, be white passing, and for some reason we believed, and continue to believe it. The Spanish Casta System split us by color and created colorism that persists in the Latino community.
