No. Is it a return to the classic Madou glory days? Also no. Is the gameplay loop fun and engaging? Honestly, it sure doesn't look like it from what I've seen (read: a complete playthrough of the game in Japanese) But still, while the game may not be the masterpiece we would've wanted, if you have love in your heart for the Madou/Puyo cast and lore, I highly recommend this game. The cast, especially the core five, are an absolute delight, and would fit right in with the rest of the cast. And all the background lore to the magic system is completely consistant with everything we've seen from before, especially from Fever 2 onwards."
