oh hey, if you're a fan of Historical Naval Fiction, specifically of the square-rigged Royal Navy variety, i recently discovered this Canadian author. i desperately hope he adds more to this 4-book series because they're really great. He's a lifelong sailor too, & that shows in his action sequences

Every Google search just brings results for Amazon, Temu and a bunch AI created websites vaguely related to what you search. Absolutely unusable anymore. I remember when the internet was fun and useful. Facebook is just trash now too.

Picked up a disabled woman last night who was told to go to a shelter. She states that she has been sexually assaulted and refuses the shelter. An emergency social worker wouldn't do anything else for her.
