Butter tarts are a wonderful treat during the Christmas season.
Personally, I think they are the greatest Canadian treat (even with raisins).
These delectable treats have been name dropped in Canadian songs, TV and movies.
But what is their history?
This is the story.

oh hey, if you're a fan of Historical Naval Fiction, specifically of the square-rigged Royal Navy variety, i recently discovered this Canadian author. i desperately hope he adds more to this 4-book series because they're really great. He's a lifelong sailor too, & that shows in his action sequences

Danielle Smith & the UCP have deeply damaged Albertans’ ability to access care.

And their plan to impose two-tier, Americanized healthcare is only going to make it worse.

The UCP didn’t run on this.

We need to fight this attack on our public healthcare system. We need to fight Bill 11 #abpoli

Thanks to your donations, I was able to get her a room and some food.

You can make homemade butter with 1 ingredient.

Buy 1 litre of heavy cream. Pour the cream in a mason jar and shake it until the milk separates, approx 10 mins, or mix in a blender until you see that the butter separates from the cream for 5 mins.
