This reporting is crazy - it’s armchair generals responding with the benefit of hindsight. They declared an incident, followed process and recovered…if the CEO slept it was knowing that they trusted the process, rather than Ms Alexander who clearly has no faith in her team!

How about we look at this differently? There was a major fire that took out the power supply to the airport so they closed for a while. The fire was put out, nobody died and the power was restored that day which allowed the airport open that night. I think that’s pretty impressive and resilient!

Last week it was benefits, this week it’s the spring statement… problem is this government isn’t leaking so our newspapers are speculating and catastrophising… we know it’s going to be tough but the “sky is falling in” editorial line isn’t helping!

For 14 years ‘trusted’ journalists have been fed leaks, reports and ‘exclusives’, making them household names. The new government has stopped this, so these journalists either do journalism or report gossip and fiction from people with an axe to grind…sadly too many go with the easy option
