Working on checkpoints in Cosmic Jam. Right now, my plan is for them to be these mausoleums that open portals when activated. Might add some more bells and whistles as I go, but they seem to be working! #ScreenshotSaturday #GameDev #MonoGame #IndieGames

Been working out some issues with the camera in Cosmic Jam and made a little helper entity that renders the physical bounds of the camera. The player can move up to the edges. Upon reaching full speed, the camera will lead the character to show more in front of them.

One of the things I want in Cosmic Jam is fun/varied transitions when respawning. This isn't final by any means, but this is the proof of concept I started with. You can even speed up transitions with an accessibility option!

For some inside baseball, I have a feature that lets me lock the camera into place while in debug mode. I also have an accessibility feature for hiding the UI built in!

A bit of slapstick comedy for Cosmic Jam this week. I always appreciate games that let you interact with the environment in meaningless way, so knocking around debris was an important feature!
