I think we all decided that this prayer meeting was not going to be part of our jobs. It was wildly inappropriate to have it in that building.

A prayer meeting was held in our county building after Kirk’s death. All county department heads were invited to attend. The invitation was vague—hard to tell who issued it. However, one
of our commissioners was there—he’s about as MAGA as you can get. No dept. heads attended, thank goodness.

These words are an insult to my son-in-law, a twice deployed captain in the US Army engineers. He builds things, handles logistics for hundreds of soldiers heading overseas, and mentors young soldiers learning self discipline and leadership.
