#EGU25 🚀✨
This morning, I had my first talk on this conference in particular, and I‘m pretty happy how it went! I had some discussions afterwards and the talk itself was quite comfortable for me.
Now, besides some additional talks, posters and networking, there is finally time to enjoy Vienna! ☺️☀️

Besides all very scientific and „serious“ sessions, it also important to still have some fun, so I decided to join the session about „Games in Geosciences“, which is not lese serious or scientific but super inspiring and fun. 👏🏼

The first two days of #EGU25 are done. It is still overwhelmly how large this conference is and I understand why people may prefer much smaller ones but what I really like about these large conferences: it’s fun to listen also something about topics where you have some knowledge but no expertise.

Arrived at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly in Vienna. Excited to present my work on #GebPy and to meet researchers from all over the world. Looking forward to insightful discussions, new ideas, and a great week of science ahead! 🚀💡👨🏻‍💻🌍✨

In the next days, a new version of #PySILLS, my #Python-based #LAICPMS data reduction tool for the compositional analysis of #minerals as well as of #fluid and #melt #inclusions, will be online. I am currently working on the possibility to open old project files from #SILLS in #PySILLS. 🙂👨🏻‍💻🪨💥🔬

Has anybody worked with (py)CHNOSZ, in particular based on a self-made database (output from GEMS/GEMSFITS)? I would appreciate some help how it can be used for a user-defined database.

Hey everybody! Today‘s sample is a dolomite marble from Switzerland. They are famous among collectors for its partly rare minerals inside, for example realgar.
Enjoy your weekend!

Hey everybody, here’s Max, geoscientist from Aachen, Germany. I will mostly write about geosciences, Python projects and maybe some nice travel spots.
Today, I start this feed with a photo of a beautiful garnet mica schist that I have photographed this week.
Cheers!
