The WastewaterScan link in this article didn’t show data for my state. But the CDC’s wastewater surveillance is another place to keep informed on what’s going on in my community and surrounding area.

The CDC’s wastewater surveillance webpage has a section with a US map. I zoomed into Oregon to get a closer view of the wastewater sites sharing weekly data, represented by dots on the map. Most of this week’s dots detect a low or moderate amount of Covid, between the different county sites. But not all counties are being monitored. This map shows very few dots in Eastern Oregon. But with the US gov and media keeping us in the dark, this is one source of information we can seek out ourselves. The CDC’s “Respiratory Virus Activity Levels” webpage contains data specifically on COVID, the flu, and RSV. It has a section showing a map of “Epidemic Trends” which I have set for COVID in this pic. It shows Washington and Florida as “growing” and California, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Massachusetts as “likely growing.” Some states are showing decline or “likely declining.” Half the states are staying steady. The CDC’s “Respiratory Virus Activity Levels” webpage also contains a US map of “Respiratory Virus Activity Levels” from last week. I have it set here for Covid. Guam is showing high levels of Covid activity and Oregon, moderate. The rest of the US is marked with varying levels of “low” or “no data.” There’s a LOT of information on the wastewater surveillance webpages and it’s easy to go down several rabbit holes.

Each chapter is a glimpse into a year of the child’s life.

We start with a prologue of them at 50 years old, visiting their brothers.
Characters design for Kittum, showing them at 50yo, 1yo, and a tween. They have a shaved head and green coveralls. As a one year old and tween they wear a sailor shirt. Characters design for Kittum’s brothers, Nef and Cutter. They’re 46yo twins. Nef is the oldest. He wears black leather pants, no shirt, and his cat tattoos move. Cutter is the youngest twin. He wears a sleeveless jacket and his hair in a pony tail.
