Wow - Some new UK legislation that seems to be well written and will really make a difference to consumer security. This is now UK law as of 29th April.

I’ve seen it all now. Competitive Excel in the esports style. If we don’t nail this properly in WRTC 2026 then I’ll be massively disappointed! @2026Wrtc

What a great advent calendar for a tinkerer/maker. Was given it this morning. A quick project per day will be fun.

I had my first 122GHz contact this evening with G6UAJ across the car park for a distance of 100m. Proves everything works. We plan some longer tests to see what range we can achieve. Paul has a dish, I’m just using a horn.

No FTTP for me today. The @CityFibre guys turned up, warned it would be a big job, and then claimed they only have 2 guns between 6 teams so wouldn't be able to blow the fibre and thus there was no point installing today. "Do the best you can" his bosses said.

Rewound some 80m trifilar inductors today. Much neater than the last set I wound a decade ago. Let’s hope these are closer to the centre frequency than the last lot.

Looks like the German national warning test worked as expected. A few seconds early but certainly caught my attention.

If I mute the words Elon and Twitter, I wonder if there will be anything left in my stream. It feels like all the tweets are tracking the craziness. It might be like the early days of Twitter when nobody was really on the platform yet.

14 years on Twitter and I held out joining despite tracking its uptake for much longer. Doing the same with Mastodon. Not putting any effort in to moving. Watching and waiting.

It seems TSO is decommissioning their Gridhost platform on Nov 10th and we all have to get our data out by then. Before I start trawling through lists of alternative providers, do you have any recommendations? Basic WP is required with a reasonable price and management options.

Looks like Glasgow airport is suffering with drones flying around causing incoming flights to be diverted to Edinburgh or delayed. I fly drones but don’t understand the mentality of some people who just like to cause chaos.

Looks like EDF are having technical issues this morning. Slow website, queues put in place to login, once you do login, hit and miss what works. I guess many people are trying to login and see how the price cap will affect them.
