The vhs camcorder learning experience continues. 😅
✅ Replaced All the Belts
✅ Power is Working
but now she doesn’t want to play or record, which means these guys are spinning but not catching, causing the tape itself to lose tension. Going to look at these two parts next.

yeah the belts are set up super similar to this model here! So you SHOULD have one towards the front at the top (lil guy), and then two at the back. (one thin medium, one wide boy)
idk how wide exactly you would need but this is what you’re looking for:
one pack of thins and one for the wide belt

okay 2 things!
i thought there were more belts on the other side too, but i think i’m actually done!
BUT i did pop back open the first side and i replaced the really wide rubber band with a slightly less wide rubber band that fits a lot better!!

ahh as i suspected, the first main culprit has been found.
the belts are notoriously bad on old video cameras, so if it powers on and doesn’t work, chances are, the belts are rotted out.
