"It was the shittiest dresser in the Free Cities, and I include Pen in that." Justice snorted. "He does have, well. A certain style, doesn't he."

She didn't see him as she walked by with Justice, a scowl crossing her face. Her brown eyes were narrowed behind the bangs that always seemed just a little too long. "…stupid Logan," she was saying with a defeated tone he'd never heard from her. "What the hell is he trying to do?" Justice shook his head. "I dunno, partner." "But I thought he was your friend," she said. They still had not seen him, hidden as he was in the narrow staircase between the buildings. "I thought so too," Justice said.

"Looks like the AI hasn't had a chance to manufacture too many replacements yet," Annie said quietly, keeping her voice low to avoid attracting attention. "There were a lot more bots here last time." "Where does it get the materials?" he asked, also keeping his voice low. "Surely the supply of parts has gotta run out eventually." "The AI directs functional bots to salvage parts from the damaged ones, or anything else. Some of the damage we see is probably from bots ripping things apart to get at the bolts or something." Justice decided he would rather not have known about cannibalistic robots and kept further questions to himself.

“Medical…trials," Fang said from behind his table. X perched on his shoulder, watching her silently with his beady eyes. "New medicines. Effects and side effects…may not be in line with…customer expectations." "Drink at my own risk, eh?" He nodded. "What is this one supposed to do?" "Stomach…issues. To alleviate, I mean. Not cause." "Well, I'd hope so," she said with a grin, and his mouth crooked up in a slight smile. "I did have Grace's omelets for breakfast this morning. Down the hatch, then."
