Being 29, I can really feel the weight of our lack of queer elders. There are elders in the community, but the scarcity turns them more into celebrities than role models that young people just coming into adulthood can access when looking for guidance and support

If yall ever wondered why harm reduction means so much to me - I'm able recovering cocaine addict and alcoholic (4 months sober from my problem drugs), recovering weed addict (5 years, and i know so cringe) have had minor problems with other drugs, and have had healthy relationships w/ other drugs

We can't show up reliably for anyone if we don't know how to show up for ourselves. A lot of us had experiences growing up where we had to learn to prioritize regulating the emotions of a prominent adult in our lives who was quick to anger with us over our own emotions

Just got the new shipment of narcan processed today thanks to the help of my roomies and volunteers! Currently averaging ~250 doses distributed per month. If even just 1% of those end up being used to save a life, that's 2-3 people a month 💜

I know cruelty is the point but… man this one is just especially ghoulish. They say they’re doing this to “protect the kids” but it’s always been so painfully obvious what the truth is. The want trans kids to die, to disappear, to be erased.

I feel like the last few months I almost never get a chance to be "off". Like I'm responsible for so many things that I basically feel like i need to be at least partially on, sharp, capable of making decisions, and actively planning 24/7
