On the basis that a PhD is earned (currently in my second year of 7) then you should always be introduced by your title and then give people your preference for being addressed depending on where you are. Eg giving a paper and taking questions then you should always be addressed as Dr etc

I also refer to those I am researching in the present tense as I feel that they are alive with me! My husband gets worried sometimes… :)

My mum who died when I was 7. It would be wonderful to get to know her as a person rather than just my mum. What was her favourite colour? What made her laugh? What traits do we share?
