I just spent two weeks in Charleston performing with the symphony and opera by night, and working on my campaign by day—whew! Music + politics, my fav combination. And you know who else loves that? Rick Steves!

Congresswoman
Delia Ramirez reminded us all how much stronger we are when we work together. When you rise, pull other women up with you. When you get a seat at the table, save a seat for another woman. Strong women love strong women 💪

Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

Don't let Trump flood your zone. Stay focused. Keep your eye on what this corrupt regime is really doing — looting the government to line their own pockets with massive tax cuts and the ability to steer more federal contracts their way.

This is the “stand up and fight” stuff we want to see everyday! Thank you @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social !
Bodies are still being pulled from the Potomac.

The President and extreme MAGA Republicans are blaming women and people of color for the deadly plane crash.

At the same time, they are dismantling the Federal Aviation Administration as we know it.

Disgusting.

My first Op-Ed, writtten with @marienewman.bsky.social, on the importance of the arts and organized labor leading the way during challenging political times.

Thank you to the @chicago.suntimes.com for carrying our message in today’s paper!
The arts pack powerful punch, especially in turbulent times
The arts have a lot in common with the labor movement. Art is an action, not a commodity. Artists are considered the canaries in the coal mine — often signaling concern, danger, mistrust and protest.

Yesterday I played my violin for the detainees in jail in a full Mass with the Bishop and a solo recital afterwards that unexpectedly turned into a singalong! This is what Christmas joy looks and feels like to me 🎄🎻🎄
